Samsung 30Q 18650 3000mAh - Capacity Test
We are going to battery test the Samsung 30Q 18650s lithium ion battery.
A quick look at the specs: the minimum capacity should be 2950 mAh. You see a fast charge of four amps and a normal charge rate of 1.5 amps. If you fast charge these cells and high discharge them you will shorten the lifespan on them, so just bear that in mind.
- Battery 1: 3109mAh
- Battery 2: 2955mAh
- Battery 3: 3046mAh
- Battery 4: 3088mAh
In terms of the capacity test we are getting 3109mAh on battery test 1 and 2955mAh on the second battery we are testing. So the cell in battery #2 is pretty much on the limit for the minimum and test 3 is at 3046 and battery 4 is at 3088 milliamp-hours. So they're all on spec and that's what you'd expect with better quality batteries. So compared to the Efest cells, slightly lower capacity but the Samsung 30Q will do 15 amps continuous versus 10 so they can discharge at a higher rate. You'll also probably find that in larger quantities the Samsung works out as better value for you as they are a very high quality battery.
